Teachers and students of Marxist School Took part in the “One-day visit for Social Science Popularization Base of Citizens”
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Zhenjiang. On May 10th, the Zhenjiang Federation of Social Sciences, Zhenjiang Wenguang jointly organized a “together Zhenjiang” one-day activity with the theme “exploring the past of Zhenjiang 70 years ago”. Associate Professor Wei Zhixiang of the Marxism School led the representatives of the student body from postgraduates，undergraduates and outstanding students to participate in the activity.
At 9 O’clock in the morning, the “one-day visit for social science popularization base of citizens”, was officially launched in the “Citizen Hall” of Zhenjiang Municipal people’s Government. After the launching ceremony, representatives of the citizens who participated in this activity took a bus to Dujiang Culture Park in Yangzhong City for a visit. Later that afternoon at 1 o’clock, the participates went to Danyang by bus and visited the memorial hall at the old site of the General Front Committee, which reviewed the heroic deeds of the revolutionary elders and the selfless dedication of the Communists.
Through this activity, the students learnt about the glorious history of Zhenjiang, felt the courageous spirit of revolutionary martyrs and learnt of their struggle, everyone said that they would make great strides along the footprints of their ancestors and contribute their own abilities to the construction and development of the motherland, as a present to the 70th birthday of the People’s Republic of China!
