On March 10th in the morning, the Marxism School held the first congress of Youth League Committee, Student Union, and Graduate Student Union of Jiangsu University at the Marxism School in the Sanjiang Building, lecture room 1701. There were 27 delegates, 17 students and 14 graduate students who attended the meeting. Invited guests who attended the opening ceremony included: Wang Zheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Zhang Wenjuan, Deputy Secretary of the League Committee, Zhong Xiaohui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Ma Xiaoshuang, Vice Chairman of the Graduate School Association, and Zhang Xuebing, chairman of the Student Union.
The conference started with a solemn national anthem. Was then followed by the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee,Zhong Xiaohui, opening congratulatory speech to the staff and then the Secretary of the League Committee of the Faculty delivered a speech on behalf of Wan Chao, a teacher from the College of Liberal Arts. There after Zhang Wenjuan, Deputy Secretary of the League Committee, made a speech. Wang Zheng, the party committee of the college, put forward some hopes and demands on the League member youths.
Lastly The General Assembly elected the members of the first Committee by way of a secret ballot.
