On the afternoon of October 16th, the training course for improving teachers’ ability about courses with ideology and politic of undergraduate colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province, which was hosted by our university, was opened in the first lecture hall of the conference center.More than 70 teachers from more than 30 undergraduate colleges and universities across the province participated in a three-day intensive training to help improve the ability of the courses with ideology and politic.
Jin Lifu, a member of the Standing Committee of the School Party Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department, addressed the meeting. She pointed out that Jiangsu University has meticulously planned and organized the training courses with rich content and diverse forms. It is hoped that participating teachers could strictly abide by the training discipline, study earnestly, and be rewarded for this course.
After the opening ceremony, Professor Zhang Zhonghua and Professor Dong Defu of Jiangsu University gave special reports on Teachers’ Professional Ethics and Teachers’ Professional Development and Xi Jinping's Talks on Governing the Country (Volume III) Core Essentials and Ideological Essence respectively.
This training class is specifically organized and implemented by the Marxism School and the Continuing Education School, which aims to explore innovative ideas and effective methods for ideological and political course and courses with ideology and politic in the same direction under the new situation, and to dig deep into the ideological and political elements in the teaching of professional courses in various disciplines, and creatively carry out ideological and political education according to the professional characteristics of this discipline.
